“Rose” has always been my alias, the roots of which go back to 2004 when my sisters and I formed a Celtic music band called Whispering Roses. I love roses and I love living in Portland, the City of Roses, on the banks of the Willamette River. I’m a “Willamette Rose”, blooming where I’ve been planted, and I am eager to share my love of the northwest, family-friendly things to do, secret gems, budget minded tips, favorites hikes, foodie reviews and travel inspiration with you.
